Certified Wilderness First Responder

My Story
I am a certified Wilderness First Responder born and raised in Arizona. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Southwest Geology with a minor in Colorado Plateau Studies. I grew up in Phoenix but went to Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff where my passion for the outdoors really grew. I spent 10 years as a hiking guide in the Grand Canyon providing personal tours to individuals and groups. During this time, I managed a medical cannabis production facility which is how I ended up living in Oregon being recruited to start a farm here. I’m currently the Cultivation Manager for Chalice Farms and hold multiple awards for my genetic crop blending. I’m constantly researching and learning about the new trends in the industry and ways to improve the environment for our plants and create new strains for the community. I believe many things in nature has healing properties when practiced responsibly can provide individuals a healthier option to addressing their physical and/or psychological needs.
Whether its camping, hiking, kayaking, snowboarding or just working in my yard, I am typically outdoors on my weekends. As an avid snowboarder I’ve traveled around following the snow to some of my favorite mountains all throughout Arizona, California, Colorado, Utah, Oregon, Idaho and Canada. I hope to be adding more seasonal events to our calendar so that I can share my experience and love on the outdoors and provide a sense of safety while you are on a personal journey of healing.
